“Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap steadfast love. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, that He may come and rain righteousness upon you.” Hosea 10:12
Fallow ground is that which has been left uncultivated, unproductive and unfruitful. The verse above tells us we are to break it up so it can be fruitful. It’s mainly referring to our heart – which we may have let get hardened and unfruitful. But, there are many areas in our life, including the physical breaking up of a garden soil, which can be considered. But, even then, it all relates back to our heart being softened and fruitful.
