Blessings From God – Butterflies

Joe Pye Weed with Butterflies

I’ve focused on blessings from God the last couple of weeks, and today I thought it worthwhile to continue. Here’s a photo of 4 large (and beautiful) butterflies on the Joe Pye Weed plant in one of the flower beds out back. God’s creation just amazes me constantly.

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his;  we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” Psalms 100 ESV

  1. So nice to have a plant like Joe Pye that is lovely itself and will attract such beauties. I find that grasshoppers just LOVE mine, too, 😦 and will munch i he leaves to shreds if I don’t sprinkle it with baited bran quite often. Must be quite tasty.

It’s amazing how there can be such an infinite variety in both flora & fauna–and to think that He did this for us, so that we could enjoy it and think of the greater beauties of Heaven!

  2. Thanks Christine – I do like the Joe Pye plant. I had to order some off the internet because I couldn’t find any around here. Two seem to be established, but I think one has bit the dust, so to speak. I haven’t had problems with grasshoppers yet.
I was thinking in those terms, also, about the variety of wonderful plants and creatures of all kinds that God created. Truly amazing and wonderful to contemplate.
