This magnolia blossom isn’t perfect but it is significant. Sharon has always wanted a magnolia tree so she could smell the blossoms. This is our first blossom from our first magnolia tree – the tree was planted last Fall. And it does smell wonderfully. Success!
Significant but not perfect is pretty good in life. But we have a God Who is perfect and, oh so, significant.
“This God–his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him” 2 Samuel 22:31 ESV
When we moved to Ontario we saw many huge old magnolia trees and finally planted one ourselves once we owned a yard. The flowers may not be perfect, but they’re pretty near. and the scent must be pretty near heavenly, too!
I finally fired up my laptop again so I could read your blog posts again, as well as some others I’ve been missing. It grieves me that my computer is being so ornery. Probably some anti-virus update has thrown a minute wrench in the miniature gears. 😦
HI Christine thanks for checking in. Sharon wanted the blooms for the “heavenly” scent and they certainly are wonderful.
I haven’t been posting regularly lately – trying to work on the book project (but not making a lot of progress on that – mainly busy with work work).
Hope you get your computer straightened out.
