Phlox By the Fence

Phlox By the Fence

One of my favorite plants. It has one of the brightest, whitest flowers. I haven’t had success with the red ones, though. Not sure what the difference is.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Psalms 51:7 ESV

What a wonderful thought – washed clean by the blood of Jesus.

Starburst Hydrangea

Starburst Hydrangea

I found this plant for sale in a grocery store – not my usual place of purchase. But, it was blooming at the time, I thought it was neat, and I didn’t remember seeing one before. So, I decided to give it a try.

If we think correctly, beautiful plants such as these will cause us to praise God for His Creation. And, we need to tell others about it.

I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you” Psalms 22:22

Here are some planted wildflowers in the side yard (if you plant them, are they still wildflowers?)

Actually, this is the second year of the flowers. I planted them last year where the ground was bare due to a new drain field installation. Then I noticed they were coming back, so I left them alone. Glad I did.

Yucca Plant Leaves

We have a line of these growing along the ditch-bank. I think they’re wild Yucca plants but not sure. Anyway, they have beautiful blooms.

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness,” 2 Peter 1:5-6 ESV
